My OPI Liquid Sand Collection Swatches & Reviews

Hello!

Today I decided I wanted to show people the liquid sand colours I had acquired from the recent OPI collections! I thought I'd post this sooner rather then later because these limited edition shades are still available on Nail Polish Canada's website.

I have 5 of the liquid sand colours, all from different collections. I have 3 from the Bond Girls Liquid Sand collection, the liquid sand colour from the Oz collection, and lastly the liquid sand polish from the Couture de Minnie collection.

The first liquid sand polish I bought was What Wizardry Is This? from the Oz soft shades collection. This polish has a sheer black base with gold glitter in it... or thats what you think when you just look at it in the bottle! Once on the nails the glittery-ness goes to a whole other level! Shining red, green.... almost holographic when it's in the sun. Indoors it is not as beautiful as it is outside, but still stunning non the less! For this polish I also prefer it with a top coat because it seems to bring out the sparkle more then it would if it was matte.

Now for some amazing-ness......

Two coats, with two coats of seche-vite top coat!

My camera wouldn't capture how awesome it looks with top coat outside, the amount of sparkle it had was out of this world!

Next are my three polishes from the Bond Girls collection. Out of all the swatches I saw online of this collection I opted for Pussy Galore (a frosty light pink with fuchsia glitter), Solitaire (a frosty white with silver glitter) and Honey Ryder (a cool toned gold with gold and silver glitter/shimmer).

I'll start with Pussy Galore! Pussy galore as previously mentioned is a light frosty pink. At first when I saw swatches I immediately didn't like it in the bottle, because I hate frosty polishes! To my surprise, this polish is stunning, the frosty pink looks really nice in liquid sand formula!

(I know this pic is blurry, but it was the best for me to show you how much more the fuchsia glitter shows up with top coat...although I don't think it was successful :P )

Next is Honey Ryder. Normally I don't buy gold nail polish because I don't find that it suits me. I thought this one would be okay because it's more cool toned then other golds that OPI has come out with! Where I do wish it was more cool toned then it already is, it is still a stunning shade on! I think this a colour I would totally rock in the fall and winter months! (please don't mind the unfortunate cut in this and upcoming pictures :( )

Two coats of polish (two coats of seche vite top coat) Didn't notice much of a difference at all between top coat and without top coat.

Next up...and possibly my favourite from the bond girls collection is Solitaire. Solitaire is a white base with silver glitter. This white is so easy to wear, very possibly because of the texture and the silver glitter taking away some of the starkness that white normally has. I would wear this shade all year round, it's fresh for summer, but is frosty and snow like for winter!

Two coats of polish (two coats of seche vite top coat) Like Honey Ryder, I barely noticed any change in the polishes glitter with top coat.

Last but not least, is my most recent liquid sand purchase. It is Magazine Cover Mouse from the couture de Minnie collection. I would describe this as a pink (raspberry/strawberry) coloured red. I don't know why, but I really don't like red as a liquid sand. I'm pretty boring when it comes to my liquid sand colours, I also don't like the blues or greens really....sigh. But when I put a top coat on this shade, my mind was blown. It is so stunning, the glitter particles stand out so much better. Definitely a shade I'll be sporting this up coming holiday season!

See what I mean about the glitter! wow so beautiful! Again two coats with two coats of seche vite

Annnnd that concludes this post! I love my little stash of liquid sand polishes. I also have zoya pixie dust in the colour godiva, but I don't find it nearly as spectacular as my OPI ones! Like I said these are just my picks, I didn't see the value of buying the others because I know I wouldn't wear them :( ! Hope you enjoyed these swatches!

OPI Chic from Ears to Tail Swatches & Review

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to show my swatches and give my opinion on OPI's Chic from Ears to Tail, which is a bubble gum pink from the Couture de Minnie Collection.

This polish didn't really have a nice formula, I had to use 3-4 thin coats (very thin) to achieve nice coverage. I chose to use thin coats because I had heard from other reviews that it was streaky, and thin coats tend to make streaky polishes apply nicer. By the end of the 3-4 coats I was pleased with the coverage and the colour! I think it's a nice pink appropriate for all year round!

Below I have swatches indoors and outdoors!

Here are photos indoors!

Here are photos taken outdoors (in the shade & in the sun)

Hope this review was helpful! I have all the colours from the couture de minnie collection, so if there is another colour you want to see let me know!!!

OPI Nail Envy Review

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm going to give you my opinions on OPI's nail strengthener called Nail Envy. OPI has 6 versions of Nail Envy; a matte version, a version for sensitive and peeling nails, a version for soft and thin nails, a version for dry and brittle nails, a version for maintaining natural nails, and of course the original. Today I'll be specifically talking about the matte formula, which is simply the original Nail Envy formula with a matte finish.

Being an avid nail biter the majority of my life, I had developed weak nails, to the point where I couldn't grow them much at all! Around two to three years ago I crushed the habit realizing that most colours looked awful on my chewed nails (gross). I don't have a picture to show you guys of the state of my nails back then, but believe me when I tell you, they were awful.

I started using Nail Envy after I found it for a great price at winners for 8-9 dollars canadian! That was around a year or two ago! At that point I wasn't documenting it's effects or using it as religiously as I do now. Since using this product I can guarantee you that my nails are almost in perfect condition! Not only have my nails stopped peeling, but they don't break nearly as often, or as easily as I remember they used to.

A month ago I decided to see how fast my nails would grow using the nail envy almost  2-3 times a week. While doing this, I wore no nail colour at all on top of the Nail Envy. So I cut them as short as I could and waited!

Here are the results after one week! Left being my shorties, and right the final result!

I have to say I was very pleased! Aside from my middle finger breaking the day before I took this picture ( the wonders of working retail 6 times a week), my nails were longer and healthier looking! I know there is a filter, but I'm being honest when I say they look so much healthier!

After a month from the first photo I took another photo to see truly how much longer they'd gotten.

The picture on the right is the picture taken a month after using nail envy 2-3 times a week!

Wow, is all I have to say! I'm so hard on my nails since I do work retail, and they held up! Normally I wouldn't be able to keep my nails long at all while I'm working as long as I do! I'm happy to say that I am now, and that although my nails could definitely get longer, I'm keeping them at this length because it's easier to maintain for work!

My general thoughts is that Nail Envy is well worth it's price tag (18-20$) for the amazing results it gives! The only one thing I noticed is that some finger nails curl a little, but I think for me that might be hereditary because my aunt's have curled her whole life, so drastically even that she can't grow them long! So other then the slight curling, my nails are stronger and longer then they have ever been!

If you have weak bitten nails, I suggest trying it! Right now Nail Polish Canada has OPI Nail Envy on sale for 15$!

***Right now currently I have switched to Nailtiques Formula 3 to see how it maintains my healthy nails! Review in the near future :) **

Hope This review was helpful!
